Commercial hot water heat pumps
Description
Increasing energy bills, coupled with the need to heat our hot water efficiently, are driving the demand for alternative forms of water heating.
Mitsubishi Electric has utilised their experience and industry-leading technology to develop next-generation Air-to-Water Heat Pumps – a super energy solution that combines both hot water heating and heating / cooling in one system.
Commercial hot water represents a high percentage of any organisation’s energy use. The latest technology breakthrough from Mitsubishi Electric brings hot water heat pumps to a new level of superior quality with the ability to heat water more efficiently than ever before. Specifically designed for large applications, Mitsubishi Electric’s Commercial hot water products have the flexibility to adapt efficiently to any building requirement.
Key features of hot water heat pumps
- High Rated Heating Capacity
- High efficiency (Achieved COP 3.88*)
- Supplies high temperature hot water of up to 90°C
- Operable even at low outdoor temperatures
- Utilises natural CO2 refrigerant which has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 1
- Mutiple units can be grouped together to form a bank of 640kW rated heating capacity
- Compact dimensions, minimising plant space
Products
QAHV CO2 Hot Water Heat Pump: 40kW Packaged hot water heat pump for commercial and industrial applications, up to 90°C hot water.
QAHV; the latest innovation in their comprehensive line-up of Hot Water Heat Pump products. Specifically designed to produce high flow temperature up to 90°C, the QAHV Hot Water Heat Pump is suitable for commercial and industrial applications.
Utilising natural CO2 refrigerant, the QAHV provides one of the lowest environmental impacts when generating hot water. Unique to Mitsubishi Electric, QAHV utilises a twisted and spiral gas cooler. Using twisted pipes as water pipes and running the refrigerant pipes along their grooves helps to increase the heat-conductive area; allowing for better heat transfer and an impressive COP of 3.88
CRHV Series: Water Sourced Hot Water and Heating: The 60kW CRHV series delivers hot water at 65°C with high 60kW Water Source Hot Water Heat pump.
The 60kW CRHV series delivers hot water at 65°C with high seasonal efficiencies of up to 4.33.
The hot water heat pump ensures an exceptionally high level of reliability through a backup function. If either of the compressors malfunctions, the other compressor maintains operation to avoid a complete stop of the system.
A rotation function is also available. When two or more units are in the system, the unit runs alternately, ensuring an optimum product lifecycle for both component units.
CAHV Series: 45kW Packaged Hot Water Heat Pump. Can be combined to max. 720kW.
Mitsubishi Electric’s CAHV commercial series hot water heat pump can be the backbone of your commercial hot water production. Each CAHV packaged hot water heat pump can provide up to 45kW of water heating and up to 16 unit can be grouped together for a total capacity of 720kW. The Zubadan CAHV packaged hot water heat pump is designed to provide hot water up to 70°C with an ambient outdoor temperature as low as -10°C and a minimal drop-off down to -20°C, making it an ideal replacement for a boiler system or, better still, an uncompromising method of heating sanitary hot water for commercial applications. The high water flow rate of CAHV makes it ideal for large comfort heating or commercial process applications, and it is capable of up to 70°C water outlet temperatures.
